It is a known fact that unemployment has hit an extremely high percentage. Many will even go as far as to compare it to the days of the Great Depression of the 1930s. In this video, this issue is addressed by focusing on the economy and the very high unemployment rate. On Labor day in Detroit, Michigan, Obama announced that he does in fact have a plan to help and try to rebuild the economy back to its former glory. On Thursday, the president will be addressing Congress and the nation to explain a new plan to help piece the economy back together and get more Americans jobs as soon as possible.
However, he did not give many clues as to what this plan is and tries to persuade listeners to flip on their television Thursday night. Many believe that Obama’s reelection is very dependent on his getting the economy back in order. Some of the people interviewed believe that the problems are not getting fixed simply because of ongoing arguments within Congress and that the economy is at an extremely low point because of this. Others seem to have more faith in Obama by saying that he was thrown into this mess and should not be to blame for it. However, they are very unhappy with his many past attempts and failures at making the economy thrive once more and are skeptical of this big new plan to be announced in the near future.
EDIT (small edition): Upon a small request, I just wanted to add a quick bit about my opinion on the issue. I think that Obama is being blamed for quite a bit that he was not originally responsible for, but the United States is in a crisis right now and I think if things don't start moving again soon, there will be some serious consequences.

I sense common ground here. I also sense very clear writing skills! This seems a very clear summary of what's going on around Obama's recent comments and policy movements...But where do YOU stand?
